PLEASE NOTE: The Rifle and Pistol range is closed when the Trap field is being used.
All information to be a member and join the club is posted on this website. Please be sure to read "CLUB RULES" and "FAQ" pages. Most of your questions can be answered there. Please allow 7-10 business days after you mail in your application with payment to receive your card.
The Spring Hunter’s Education classes have been scheduled for March 5 & 7th. More information is located on the “Other Activities” page at the bottom.

Opening day for public trap and skeet shooting for the 2026 season is Wednesday, April 1st.

Trap
Public trap shooting on Wednesday nights is open to the general public. APRIL thru OCTOBER 4:45pm-8pm weather permitting.
CLUB ACTIVITIES
Skeet
Public skeet shooting on Wednesday nights is open to the general public. APRIL thru OCTOBER 4:45pm-8pm weather permitting.
Rimfire Shoot
Shoots are open to the general public, and are a 50 yard rimfire competition.
5 Stand
One 5 Stand field will be open on specific dates, see calendar or Marion County Sportsmen’s Facebook page. Puller and scorekeeper provided for the public, special and group shoots.
Shooting Ranges
Members may utilize the pistol and rifle ranges when available. Become familiar with the rules and other information about the ranges.

Fishing
Our onsite pond is stocked with various kinds of fish for members and their families to enjoy catching.
Bowhunting / Archery
An area is set aside for bowhunting and archery practice. There is a big hay bale for a backstop. Please bring your own targets.
Primitive Campsites
Primitive campsites, without water or electricity, are available.
CLUBHOUSE RENTAL
The Marion County Sportsmen Club clubhouse is available for rental to our members. To submit a Clubhouse Rental request, please complete rental contract and mail with payment to:

HUNTER’S EDUCATION
A person born after 1971 who has not taken a hunter education course must do so before purchasing an Iowa hunting license.
